A cheese lover's heaven. You will want to take everything home with you, seriously, everything. If you are having friends over or just feel like treating yourself, pop in and the super helpful and cheery staff will be happy to offer suggestions, and even samples.
In addition to a mesmerizing display of cheese, they offer a yummy selection of artisan products such as cured meats, crackers, jams, pickles, chocolates and nuts. They even carry Brooklyn Slate cheese boards and a small, yet gorgeous, selection of olive wood serving accessories (think cheese knives, and serving dishes).
Their Chelsea Market location offers a small daily selections of pressed sandwiches. We have not been to their Lexington Street location but is boasts a cafe and wine bar with lunch, brunch and dinner menus. It is about a 0.8 mile walk from the MET, so it'd be a perfect stop before or after a museum visit, especially since while the MET is amazing, it does not wow in the food department.
